What is TOG?
TOG stands for Thermal Overall Grade and is a unit of measurement for the insulation and warmth of sleepwear and bedding. The lower the TOG rating, the lighter the substance; the higher the rating, the more padded and isolated the substance.

Description
It is designed to be easy to use and hard to escape from. This zippered swaddle has a TOG heat rating to keep baby comfortable and securely swaddled without the need for complicated swaddling from day one. The TOG designation means that the 0.2 TOG swaddle can be used alone at room temperatures between 24°C + without a blanket in a cot or cradle to provide a safe sleeping option for a newborn or baby. The chest area is sized at 1.0 TOG to prevent overheating and allow full chest expansion during breathing. Parents can layer up the bottom layer as needed to keep baby warm and follow our handy FREE room thermometer and guide. The Cocoon Swaddle is made and filled with GOTS certified organic cotton, with elastane in the outer fabric and bamboo in the lining. This means it is firm enough to limit the startle reflex, while still allowing for stretching and movement for healthy growth. The stretch allows for greater comfort and allows the baby to move their arms into a position where they can settle themselves inside the wrap. Soft, breathable organic cotton and bamboo are certified non-toxic, dyed with water-based dyes and gentle on newborn and eczema-prone skin. The zipper also protects your baby's delicate skin, and the handy shoulder studs allow you to convert the Cocoon from a wrap with arms to a sleeping bag with arms when baby shows signs of rolling over. The bell shape is approved by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute as healthy for the hips and promotes proper hip and shoulder joint development. The two-way zipper allows for quick and easy diaper changes during sleep with minimal disruption.

Place the wrap and 2-in-1 bag on a flat, low surface with the zipper open and the shoulder studs closed.
Place the baby on the 2in1 swaddle and bag. Tuck the legs into the wrap and zip the zipper so that the baby's arms are in the desired position (on the sides or chest).
To change the diaper or cool the baby, unzip the zipper from the bottom of the swaddle to release the legs and lower torso. When finished, the zipper closes again.
Layer a warm layer underneath as needed.
When you want to go to sleep with your arms undone, if there are signs of rolling over, release your arms by unfastening the studs on the shoulders. We recommend doing it one arm at a time over a period of several days.
