Intuitive and simple

Solo™ - the easy-to-use breast pump. As it consists of only a few parts, it can be easily cleaned and assembled. Thanks to its intuitive user interface with 4 buttons and 9 vacuum levels, this electric breast pump is extremely easy to use.

Vacuum anywhere, even if there is no electrical outlet nearby

Thanks to the state-of-the-art USB-C port on the Solo™ Electric Breast Pump, the built-in battery can be charged faster than with a traditional micro-USB port and you can pump up to six times on a full charge!

2-Phase Expression™ technology

When breastfeeding, babies first suck in short, quick movements to trigger the flow of milk. As soon as the milk starts to flow, the baby adapts his sucking to a slower individual rhythm in order to drink. Medela's 2-Phase Expression™ technology mimics the natural rhythms of baby's sucking - first stimulating the flow of milk quickly, then slowing down to deeper and slower suction to ensure optimal milk flow.

PersonalFit Flex™ breast pad

With a 105° opening angle, a soft edge and an oval shape for a better fit, the PersonalFit Flex™ breast attachment puts less pressure on the milk ducts than traditional 90° breast attachments. Allows for more efficient and comfortable suction. More comfort for you and up to 11% more milk for your baby - clinically proven3. In the package you will find a 24 mm breast extension (size M).

Overflow protection

The closed system prevents breast milk from entering the tubing and motor during suction. This not only keeps your pumped milk safe and clean, but also protects the pump components from damage.

Shorter stimulation phase

Studies using two-step technology4-8 have found that the first release of milk tends to be between 1 and 2 minutes, which is longer than a toddler9 reaches when breastfeeding. However, in research conditions, this period is usually longer than in a relaxed home environment10. At the same time, the first milk let-down is usually accelerated with repeated pumping11 (probably due to an adjustment of the milk let-down reflex). The time to first milk letdown has been shown to be faster with the new 105° breast attachment, with 90% of mothers starting milk within 2 minutes.8

The duration of the stimulation phase of the Solo™ breast pump has been reduced to one minute to:

- better reflect the physiology of milk expressing
- the risk of milk not being optimally expressed during the first milk letdown is reduced
- the extraction time has been optimized
